Updating Expiration Dates on Ag/Timber Registrations
Deadline: December 31, 2019
ATTENTION: Members who have a Texas Agricultural and Timber Exemption Registration Number (Ag/Timber Number) on file with us, that number will expire December 31, 2019. We need to update your exemption status with South Plains Electric Cooperative accounts by the same date.
The Cooperative needs the new expiration date for your Texas Agriculture or Timber Registration Number on the official Texas Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate. An updated certificate is required for every different business name, partnership, etc., that is listed as an electric account. Click here for more information from the Texas Comptroller.
To help make it easy, there are several ways to get a copy of your completed, updated form to us:
- Scan and email it to scoe@SPEC.coop.
- Mail it to P.O. Box 1008, Lubbock, Texas 79408.
- Drop it by any local service office.
- Fax it to 806.775.7851.
If we don’t have the updated expiration date on the Texas Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate on file by January 2, 2020, we will have to bill tax on your account. You will be able to go back to the Texas Comptroller’s office for a refund, but we will not be able to give you a refund.
If you have questions, please call our Member Service Department at 806.775.7766.
